A FEW THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE BOOKING.

READY TO START YOUR COMMISSION?

The first step is completing my commission inquiry form below.

The form will ask for the details I need to understand your vision, including your desired size, reference images, subject, framing preferences, timeline, and other important details.

This helps me determine whether I can accommodate your project and allows me to have a better understanding of your vision before we begin the conversation.

Once your inquiry has been reviewed, I will reach out by email if your project is selected for my current commission schedule or waitlist.

Commission Process & Availability

Every commission is a custom project, which means my schedule is continually changing. I intentionally accept a limited number of commissions at a time so that I can give each painting the time, attention, and care it deserves.

Submitting a commission inquiry does not guarantee a place on my schedule. I review each inquiry individually based on my current availability, the scope of the project, and the timeline requested.

If I am unable to accommodate your commission at the time of your inquiry, your project can be added to my waitlist for consideration as future availability opens.

If your commission is selected, I will contact you by email to discuss the details of your project, answer any questions, and provide the next steps for booking.

Please note: A commission is not officially reserved until the details have been finalized, the commission agreement has been signed, and the required retainer has been received.

01. DISCUSS THE DETAILS

Once I receive your inquiry, I will review your vision and reach out with any questions or recommendations.

We will determine the size, composition, framing, timeline, and other details of your painting. If you are unsure about the size or composition, I am happy to help guide you based on the space the painting will live in and the reference material you have provided.

For larger or more involved commissions, I may recommend a particular size or orientation to best capture the landscape.

02. APPROVAL & DEPOSIT

Once we have settled on the details, I will provide you with a final quote and commission agreement.

A 30% non-refundable retainer is required to reserve your commission and begin the process. The remaining 70% is due upon completion and approval of the finished painting, before delivery or shipment.

Your commission is not placed on my schedule until the agreement has been signed and the retainer has been received.

I currently accept payment through Venmo or Square invoice, and payment plans may be available for larger commissions.

03. YOUR PAINTING BEGINS

Once your commission is officially booked, I begin developing your painting.

I work primarily in acrylic on canvas, using layered brushwork and palette knife techniques to build the landscape, atmosphere, light, and texture.

Each painting is created by hand from start to finish, no two commissions are exactly alike.

04. THE FINISHED PIECE

Once the painting is complete, I will send you photographs of the finished work for approval.

This is your opportunity to see the completed painting before the final payment and delivery. Minor adjustments can be discussed at this stage when appropriate.

05. HOW LONG DOES A COMMISSION TAKE?

Commission timelines vary depending on the size and complexity of the painting, my current schedule, and the number of commissions already in progress.

I generally work with a limited number of commissions at a time so that each painting receives the attention it deserves.

Because of this, I recommend reaching out as early as possible if you have a specific deadline, especially for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, holidays, or other special occasions.

A requested date is not considered reserved until your commission agreement has been signed and your retainer has been received.

06. DELIVERY & SHIPPING

Local pickup and delivery options are available depending on location.

Smaller paintings may be shipped using standard protective packaging.

Larger original paintings are custom packaged for their size and may require a custom-built wooden shipping crate to ensure the painting arrives safely.

Shipping costs are not included in the painting price unless specifically stated in your quote.

For large or international commissions, shipping will be quoted separately once the destination and final dimensions are known.
